Mim Tele Ceramic Pickups

When i acquired my 2005 mim tele body in a trade for a pedal i had bought used for 15 in 1985 and rarely used it only came with the neck pickup electronics and strap buttons.
Mim tele ceramic pickups. Not vintage clean but muscular and loud they drive the front end of my ss 20 crunch channel just the way i like it like my charvel with duncan distortion bridge and full shred neck. That sx tele has fender original vintage pickups graph tech nut and fender switch pots and cap my total cost is right at 200 the mim we tried was 500. If you buy the mim and plan to upgrade it then it really doesn t turn out to be much of a bargain at all. Ceramic pickups generally offer a brighter and more glassy sound.
Long story short i was surprised on how good the stock pickups of my 2008 mim strat sound. I haven t heard the bridge pickup though. I have a 2005 mim neck pickup in my squier tele special. All things to consider.
I really prefer my telecaster with a cheap ceramic pickups. Alnico pickups provide a warmer sound and generally have a little more bass response. You ll notice more midrange and treble response from a ceramic pickup. They are loud and thick with all the single coil vibe and the noise but i use a isp decimator g string ii and bye bye to.
This is down to the more expensive custom shop pickups. As you can probably just about hear in the comparison demos the mia telecaster has a slightly brighter clarity to it than the mim.
