Med Tele Or Pcu Floor Better To Work On

The last hospital i worked at was pretty small.
Med tele or pcu floor better to work on. At one of the hospitals i was at we had a hard tele floor all patients were monitored and you could give cardiac drips the ratio there was 4 5 1 with high turnover. Its not overflow of tele that i dont know wth is going on and its not overload of tele to worry about missing something. Having worked in both of these areas i thought i d share some of the differences that you can expect. Rn ldrp 2 points 4 years ago.
Which hospital do you work. Many of you will be graduating this semester and you may have the opportunity to work on either a med surg unit or a progressive care unit. Too often patients are put on tele. Pcu and telemetry nurses find fun and career growth on the road.

Or state i mean on my current work place every nurse should be able to and trained on orientation to access and deaccess ports. By melissa hagstrom contributor. All of the patients on this floor have bedside monitors the ratios is 3 1 this is where i work now. I work on a med surg we get overflow of medical and we get ppl on tele.
3 med surg floors all with tele capabilities and one combined icu step down unit. My vote is for med surg.
