Melted Plastic On Ceramic Stove

I have what appears to be foil melted on the ceramic top of a brand new stove top in a rental house.
Melted plastic on ceramic stove. How to get melted plastic off a stove burner. Sometimes plastic can accidentally melt and get stuck on hot metal glass or ceramic surfaces. A plastic bowl lid or bag can get stuck if they come in contact with a hot or even warm surface such as a stove top toaster or toaster oven. Removing melted plastic from a ceramic stovetop is a bit difficult and can be frustrating.
Removing melted plastic from metal can seem daunting once it has cooled and is firmly stuck on. There is more than one way to do it and the technique you choose may depend upon what type of plastic is melted. When melted plastic sticks to your glass cooktop it is typically result of a plastic bowl spatula spoon or similar cooking utensil that was accidentally placed atop the glass stovetop while the burners are still hot. A hot burner on the stove and a limited amount of counter space could lead to an accidental melting of a plastic bag container or lid inadvertently.
Aside from the damaged plastic item you also are left with the melted residue to remove from your glass cooktop.
