Medication Fell On The Floor

I clearly fall into the latter group.
Medication fell on the floor. Such communication is essential to preventing a second fall. If they fell into a puddle of motor oil or a pile of debris i would toss them. Since the pills came in contact with the floor the nurses believed they should be discarded. What do you do when you drop medication on the floor.
My doctor won t be in her office until monday morning. After the patient returns to bed perform frequent neurologic and vital sign checks including orthostatic vital signs. If i drop food on the floor i still eat it. Because the drug was so expensive the facility required that it be treated as a controlled substance and pills were counted daily.
I do that because the harm i might get from the floor is not worth my concern compared with many many other things. I don t eat food that falls on the ground and i sure as hell am not taking a pill that fell on it. Fall victims who appear fine have been found dead in their beds a few hours after a fall. However there are probably more germs on your car door handle than there would be on the pills.
Or on your computer key board your telephone your counter top and even on the pill bottle than the floor of your garage. As the title says i had my medication bottle out to take a pill then the bottle fell out of my hand and onto the ground.
