Mat 6 Bible Chap

Truly i tell you they have received their reward in full.
Mat 6 bible chap. In these verses we are cautioned against hypocrisy in giving alms. Matthew 6 niv. Verily i say unto you they have their reward. Neither declare the great things god hath done for your soul to the profane furious persecuting wretches.
Give not that which is holy unto dogs that is talk not of the deep things of god to those whom you know to be wallowing in sin. Talk not of high degrees of holiness for instance to the former. 6 but when you pray go into your room close the door and pray to your father who is unseen. 2 therefore when thou doest thine alms do not sound a trumpet before thee as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets that they may have glory of men.
Even when the beam is cast out of thine own eye. Then your father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Our father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name after this manner.

Christ having in the former chapter armed his disciples against the corrupt doctrines and opinions of the scribes and pharisees especially in their expositions of the law that was called their leaven 16 12 comes in this chapter to warn them against their corrupt practices against the two sins which though in their doctrine they did not justify yet in their conversation. What we do must be done from an inward principle that we may be approved of god not that we may be praised of men. Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. It is notable for its brevity simplicity and comprehensiveness. The prayer is a model not merely a liturgy. If you do you will have no reward from your father in heaven.
